SAFARI ITINERARY

1stDay – Cape Town, Radisson Hotel, 3 nights

After arriving at Cape Town International Airport you will be gathered by our representative and given your world-class documentation and assisted to the Europcar rental counter to collect your vehicle. From the airport, travel to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. The Radisson Hotel Waterfront’s private marina is complemented by hotel décor that exhibits a distinctively nautical flair.

2nd & 3rd day – Cape Town

Found on rocks facing the ocean, this hotel is ideally located for touring all the sightseeing attractions that Cape Town has to offer. We recommend excursions to Cape Point, the famous wine lands, Table Mountain and Robben Island. A large variety of half and full day tours are available. We can talk about your touring options when you are booking.

4th Day – Oudtshoorn, Rosenhof Country House, 1 night

Leave Cape Town for travel via Swellendam and Mossel Bay to Oudtshoorn – the ostrich capital of the world. Your hotel, a beautifully restored Victorian house, offers views of the Swartberg Mountains and makes the ideal base to tour the wel known Cango Caves, one of the ostrich show farms or the Cango Wildlife Ranch.

5th Day & 6th – Plettenberg Bay, Plettenberg Park, 2 nights

Ysou proceed via George and Knysna to Plettenberg Bay where your hotel is set high on the majestic cliffs of the dramatic coastline. As a gateway to the Garden Route this area provides much to discovere. Take pleasure in  the stunning blue bay, white sandy beaches and watch out for dolphins and whales (in season) or visit the rugged Tsitsikamma Mountains

7th Day – to Sun City, Palace of the Lost City, 2 nights

When breakfast is done, take back your car to George Airport and head to Johannesburg (not included). At Johannesburg Airport collect you hire car and head North West to Sun City.

8th Day – Get to know Sun City

The magnificence of The Palace overlooks 25 hectares of jungle, regal stairways, gardens, amphitheatres, royal baths, and the popular ‘Valley of the Waves’ theme park all waiting to be explored. Sun City has dazzled the international community with its glamorous casinos, gourmet restaurants, extensive sports facilities and star-studded spectaculars. The full variety of entertainment on offer ranges from slots to safaris; from theatre extravaganzas to gaming arcades; from horse-riding to golf and the fun filled Valley of Waves.

Dining at Sun City is a gastronomic experience without equal. The range is enormous – from the elegant Villa del Palazzo at The Palace, where gourmet Italian dining is a fine art; to the splendid themed buffets, which are lavishly presented each night at the Palm Terrace in The Sun City Cabanas. You’ll also find an enormous selection of fast food and snacks throughout the resort.

9th Day– Pilgrim’s Rest, Mount Sheba Nature Reserve, 1 night

Leave Sun City and travel via Pretoria, Dullstroom and Lydenburg to the Mount Sheba Nature Reserve. Relax at your country retreat, surrounded by indigenous forests and mountains above the historic mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest.

10th day – Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve, 2 nights

When you are done with breakfast, travel via Sabie and on to the ‘Big Five’ Sabi Sands Game Reserve. Reach at Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve in time for afternoon high tea and game drive in an open safari vehicle. Take pleasure in fantastic game viewing, gourmet food and magnificent accommodation. Each glass-fronted suite with superb views of the bushveld has a private deck and plunge pool. The experienced staff has been hand selected for their knowledge, enthusiasm and total dedication to service excellence.

11th day– Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve

Have an early game drive and then enjoy a hearty breakfast and relax at the lodge until lunch, or for the more adventurous, a guided bush walk is on offer. After high tea and the late afternoon game drive, get back to the lodge for an African feast in the boma (weather permitting).

12th Day – Blue Mountain Lodge, 2 nights

You will have a morning game viewing activity and breakfast,and proceed continue on to your small luxury hotel near Hazyview. Blue Mountain Lodge, an out of Africa dream come true, is well known for its luxurious setting and design, innovative cuisine and personal service.

13th day – Tour the Panorama Route

After a sumptuous breakfast, you have the full day at your disposal to either rest at this wonderful hotel or to visit the sights of the Panorama Route. We recommend a visit to the Blyde River Canyon, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, God’s Window and the various waterfalls.

14th Day – Johannesburg, Melrose Arch Hotel, 1 night

After breakfast drive via Nelspruit and Witbank to Johannesburg. Your luxury hotel is set in the leafy suburbs of northern Johannesburg in an innovative and technologically advanced mixed-use lifestyle centre. Dinner is at your leisure and may be taken at the varied restaurants in Melrose Arch, or in nearby Sandton or Rosebank.

15th day – The safari ends

When breakfast is done, catch up on some last minute shopping or the numerous day tours on offer. Continue to Johannesburg International Airport for rental drop off.
