SAFARI STYLE

SAFARI CREW
Your driver / guide has been selected based on his experience and knowledge of South Africa as well as his ability to ensure a comfortable, smoothly operated safari for a fun & friendly small group of travelers. Most of the guides are South African citizens and all have a love of the bush & an in-depth knowledge of their country that is enthusiastically shared.

SMALL & PERSONALISED GROUPS
The group will consist of 1 to 9 travellers plus one safari guide / driver.

SAFARI VEHICLE FEATURES
Depending on the group size you will travel in either an air conditioned luxury sedan (one or two of you) or a safari microbus (usually for 3 to 7 passengers) or a luxury touring coach. Some game drives will be in an open vehicle.

ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation is included at upper 4 star hotels and country lodges. They offer comfortable and spacious rooms often decorated with inspiring African themes and en suite bathrooms. At the time of booking we will confirm which lodges, hotels etc you will be staying at and we will give you the web links so you can do some browsing and be sure this safari is right for you!

LUGGAGE
We recommend that you take one soft bag, rather than a hard suitcase.

SLEEPING BAG/ BLANKET
Not necessary on this safari.

PERSONAL EFFECTS
Travel light with light, casual clothing for the day and something warm for evenings in the bush. Take a good pair of walking/ tennis shoes. Bring a water bottle, swimsuit, hat, sunscreen, binoculars, camera and spare film. Allow enough money for lunches, souvenirs, evenings out, drinks & special excursions. A detailed what to bring list will be provided when you book.

CAMP CUISINE & DRINKS
Breakfast and dinner are included on this safari. You are bound to enjoy the standard of cuisine offered in South Africa – fresh produce and innovative fare! Lunch is not included and will often be taken ‘on the road’ – your guide will know the best spots to stop for good value, healthy lunch options. Drinks are not included and can be purchased by you in each location. Special meal requirements can be accommodated but please let us know in advance.

AFRICAN CONDITIONS
Even in South Africa, being on the road can be a bit unpredictable and at times the itinerary will change to take local conditions into account. Unforeseen circumstances due to problems with road conditions, weather, mechanical breakdown etc can delay & change the performance of the safari. Please come prepared.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is not included and is considered obligatory.
You are responsible for arranging your own insurance.

IMPORTANT NOTE
At the time of publishing this itinerary the information was correct, however things change – prices, dates and even the day-to-day plan. Before we ask you for a deposit we will ensure that you are aware of any changes and then it is up to you to decide if this is the safari that suits your style & budget.
